. There is a growing demand for Law Professionals everywhere due to the changing economic and social scenario all over the world. After obtaining the necessary degree, one has to register himself / herself with the local State Bar council to be able to practice.

There are various branches of law. Some of them are:-

1. Civil law,
2. Criminal law
3. Company or Corporate law,
4. Taxation laws like income tax law and Excise law etc.
5. Labour law
6. International law,
7. Family law,
8. Constitutional law,
9. Administration law,
10. Trade mark, copyright and IP rights or patent laws etc.

The following options are available under Law:

1. Bachelor’s degree – LLB
2. Diploma Courses in specialized streams like Administrative law, Labour Laws, International Law, Tax Laws and Company laws etc.
3. Master’s Degree – LLM
4. Research Programs, Etc.

Eligibility:- The minimum qualification to be eligible to pursue a degree in law (LLB) within Republic of India is 10+2 or an equivalent examination. The duration of program is 5 years.

P.G. or the LLM Programmes in law are of 2 years duration & eligibility is a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
