ISB is the first business school from India to have found a place in the FT rankings. None from the premier Indian B-schools from the Indian Institute of Management stable has ever made it to this list, which has ranked ISB as 20th best globally.

“While the average student experience at ISB is 5 years, the IIMs have students with a lesser experience, as such, the two are non-comparable,” ISB Dean M Rammohan Rao said in a statement.

“We wish to see many more Indian B-schools follow the trend and reach where we are today, or even ahead of us,” he added.

ISB has affiliations with three of the world’s renowed business schools – Kellogg School of Management, The Wharton School and London Business School, and 5 per cent of its total student intake consists of international students.

The FT ranking was calculated on the basis of 20 criteria covering specifics like career progress of graduates, diversity of MBA experience, international mobility of alumni, ideas generation and research.

The Indian School of Business (ISB) is a leading research-driven B-School in Asia.

The ISB evolved from a need for a globally top-ranked and distinctive business school in the Asian region dedicated to providing the best management education.

The Schools’ Governing Board comprises business leaders, entrepreneurs, and academicians from some of the world’s leading business and management education institutions. Our partnership with the Kellogg School of Management, The Wharton School, and London Business School makes the ISB one of its kind in Asia Vision

The ISB vision is to become an internationally top-ranked, research-driven, independent management institution that grooms future leaders for India and the world.

The ISB’s aspiration to groom tomorrow’s leaders is grounded in the belief that leadership skills can be learned and that successful leaders must take charge of their own development and growth to achieve their true potential. Unprecedented and Extraordinary Lineage

The ISB is born of a partnership that is unheard of in the launch of any institution ever. The founders are eminent business leaders, entrepreneurs and academicians from around the world. We have formal affiliations with three of the worlds leading business schools – Kellogg School of Management, The Wharton School, and London Business School.

ISB CAMPUS

Students at the ISB enjoy academic, residential and recreational facilities similar to those at the best B-schools in the world. The overall design scheme, while thoroughly modern, embraces elements of traditional Indian architecture. The campus provides an ideal study environment with air-conditioned amphitheatres, a library, meeting rooms, coffee bars and dining facilities.

The ISB students work and live in a wired and ‘wireless’ environment. The school’s facilities include wired classroom conferencing and high-speed data communication networks. Students interact by computer or video-link with faculty, business leaders and students anywhere on earth during their course. The design of the campus aims to promote a community atmosphere.

For recreation, there is a swimming pool, a gym, tennis and squash courts and a football field. Students also enjoy services such as laundry, housekeeping and security to make them comfortable. A dining hall provides fine food. Services such as bank/ATM, infirmary, the ISB shop, bookstore, documentation centre etc. are also available.

Academic Center

Staying globally connected is top priority to those at the ISB. The lecture theatres in the centrally located Academic Centre are equipped with a broadband communications network. This enables the students to interact by computer or video-link with faculty, industrial leaders and students anywhere in the world during their course, projects, and research studies.
